MLB DS Picks for Saturday

C- Matt Wieters BAL- Over the last 3 games Wieters has struggled, but this switch hitting catcher was stroking recording 7 hits in the 4 games before it. He is facing McAllister for the Indians who has been pitching pretty great in his last two starts, but we think the hot hitting Orioles team can get to him today.

1B- Adam Lind TOR- Lind has come on strong at the perfect time. Now that Joey Bats is on the DL there is a need for a power hitting middle of the order guy to step up. Lind has been that guy and is hitting .387 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI over the last two weeks. We love his matchup AT Boston against an older righty in Cook. This is one of our favorite picks today.

2B- Neil Walker PIT- Walker is hitting almost 1.000 over the last two weeks. He hit a home run last night and is red hot. There's no reason really to explain why you should pick him other then that you should PICK HIM. He's less than 7K on Draftstreet which is insane.

3B- Kevin Youkilis CWS- Youkilis has slowed down since his great start with the White Sox, but he's still a good play today against Porcello and the Tigers. He's hitting just under .300 in the last two weeks with 2 home runs and 8 RBI. Today Porcello will have to be on his A game against this White Sox team that has been impressive offensively this season. We don't think that happens.

SS- Alcides Escobar KC- Escobar has been great as of late hitting .333 in the last two weeks. Last night we played him and he had 3 hits, so we're feeling him today. He'll be facing the struggling Diamond from the Twins today who has a 7.50 ERA in his last 6 innings. Look for the Royals to pound out some runs against him today.

OF- Justin Upton ARI- Upton is one of the stud young players in the game right now and he is priced at just over 6K. He has been struggling this season which has caused his price to drop on a lot of sites, but now he is starting to turn it around. He is hitting .317 in the last two weeks and hit a home run yesterday for us as he was also on our team last night.

OF- Lorenzo Cain KC- Cain is facing Diamond today and we expect him to be back in the middle of the order again. This game should play out as a high scoring one as we just don't see Diamond slowing down these hitters. Cain is hitting .370 in the last two weeks with 2 home runs. Impressive numbers for a guy who struggled to start the season and was sent down to the minors to figure it out.

OF- Delmon Young DET- Young has been great since the All Star break for the Tigers. It seems like every time we check the box score he has at least one hit and an RBI. He has a tough matchup going against a guy like Sale for the White Sox, but we think with his low price of under 6K he is a good play today. With the Young and Cain pick, we were able to snag up OFs like Matt Kemp and Josh Reddick, so we think the risk is worth it with Young.

SP- Edwin Jackson WAS- Jackson for a while was doing great for the Nats, but now he has started to struggle. He has a 7.2 ERA in his last 5 innings pitched, and is facing the Braves today. Last night the Braves pulled of a miraculous victory in extra innings and it is our hope that the Braves feel a little more drained today then hyped up. We know Chipper Jones won't be in the lineup also, so that's one less good bat he will have to face today.

SP- Matt Garza CHC- Garza had a great start last week going 7 innings with 7 Ks and no earned runs against the Diamondbacks. Today we expect more great results as he goes against the Cardinals. The Cards lineup doesn't look as great as it did in the beginning of the season due to the wear and tear put on guys like Beltran and Berkman. We like Garza to do well today.

RP- Addison Reed CWS- Reed should be due for a save opportunity tonight as the White Sox face off against the Tigers. The only concern we have is that the White Sox put up a bunch of runs because we don't see the Tigers scoring more than 3 against Sale. We are thinking the game ends 5-2 and Reed gets himself a save.
