NHL Picks for 1-18-12

Top Goalie choices for the Day:
*Jose Theodore: Florida Panthers- For some reason, Theodore isn't listed on Draftstreet, but if that gets figured out we like him. He is facing the Avalanche on the road, but this is the same team with 1 in the last 5 games. They have also only scored 5 goals in the last 5 games. Theodore should be a cheaper goalie option if they ever put him on the board.

*Corey Crawford: Chicago Blackhawks- Facing the Sabres at home, Crawford is a great choice.Buffalo has won only 3 games since middle of December (it's the middle of January btw) and Chicago is a high powered offense. Play Crawford tonight.

Top Forwards and Centers for the Day:
*Jonathan Toews: Chicago Blackhawks- A great center who is only in the mid 12,000s on DS. 7 points in his last 7 games vs a shaky Buffalo goalie crew.

*Alexander Semin: Washington Capitals- Playing versus a mediocre Montreal goalie crew I like Semin along with that whole first line. Playing alongside Ovi and Johansson who is hot.

*Bobby Ryan: Anaheim Ducks- 7 points in his last 7 games against the Coyotes. Coyotes top goalie, Mike Smith, was very hot at the beginning of year, but has cooled off as of late. Ryan playing alongside veteran Teemu Selanne should make for a great choice for either of them.

*Victor Stalberg: Chicago Blackhawks- A top line player for the Blackhawks alongside Toews who is a great scoring threat. Versus the Sabres take this opportunity to beat up on the struggling Sabres. 5 goals in his last 7 games.
