C: Martin Maldonado – Maldonado has not had many
hits of late as he is batting .237 over the last two weeks, but he is when he
does hit, he hits the ball out of the park as he has 3 homeruns in the last two
weeks. He is also valued at less than
6K.
1b: Paul Goldschmidt – The Arizona Diamondbacks’
first baseman has finally found his stroke after an extremely slow start to the
season. He is now batting .282, and over
the last two weeks he has 5 homeruns to go along with a .366 batting average.
2b: Neil Walker – Walker has had at least two hits
in 5 of his last 10 games.
3b: Alex Rodriguez – Rodriguez’s numbers have been
down this year, but he is riding a 7 game hitting streak and a very cheap buy
at 6.4K.
SS: Zach Cozart – 5 for his last 10 with a homerun,
Cozart has been hot of late as he is batting over .300 in the last two weeks.
OF: Ichiro Suzuki – Another start who is having a
down year, Suzuki is only batting .264, but he is less than 7K and has 3
homeruns in the last two weeks.
OF: Trevor Plouffe – One of the hottest hitters in
baseball, Plouffe has now hit a homerun in 3 straight games, and he is 11 for
his last 24.
OF: Hunter Pence – 10 for his last 22, Pence is now
batting .283 with 45 runs scored, 13 homeruns, and 28 RBIs.
U: Matt Diaz – A couple days ago, Diaz got the start
against the lefty C.C. Sabathia and did not disappoint. He had a double that drove in 3 runs. Today the Braves face another lefty in Brian
Matusz and Diaz should be in the starting line up again.
U: Ryan Zimmerman – Zimmerman is having an awful
year, but he is less than 6K! Give him a
shot tonight because he is a cheap play with a lot of potential.
SP: Justin Masterson – Although Masterson is
struggling this year, he has thrown 13 innings in his last two starts and only
given up 4 runs. Today he faces the
worst offense in the MLB in the Pirates.
SP: Kyle Lohse – Lohse is 6-1 on the year with an
ERA under 3, and today he faces the Royals who are 26th in the
league in runs scored.
SP: Trevor Cahill – Cahill is coming off of
back-to-back wins in which one of them was a complete game where he only gave
up 6 hits.
RP: J.J. Putz – After a rough start to his season,
Putz has been almost flawless in the past month, and he is only 2K.
