MLB Picks for Sunday

C- Jesus Montero SEA- Montero is an offensive minded catcher that mainly DHs, but we love his catcher eligibility. He is hitting .326 in the last two weeks with a home run. He is facing a righty in Billingsley who has pitched pretty solid as of late, but Montero should come out on top in this matchup.

1B- Prince Fielder DET- Fielder is heating up big time for the Tigers who really need it right now. He is hitting .385 over the last two weeks, and hit himself 3 home runs over that time. He is facing Bailey tonight who is coming off a good start, but overall isn't a great pitcher.

2B- Brandon Phillips CIN- Phillips is facing a lefty in Smyly today. He is hitting very well as of late (.283 with 2 home runs). This is a matchup we like because even though we have Smyly on our team, we think he'll give up 2-3 runs over 5-6 innings.

3B- Mike Moustakas KC- Moustakas faces off against Burnett today in Pittsburgh. He has hit .289 with 2 home runs over the last two weeks and has been hitting in the middle of that Royals lineup.

SS- Dee Gordon LAD- Gordon has been hitting better than his season average lately, and because of it we are seeing some solid stolen base numbers. For under 5K, he is a solid choice facing off against a righty. He is coming off a 2-5 game with 2 stolen bases.

OF- Adam Jones BAL- Jones isn't hitting like he has been all season long (.255 over last two weeks), but any time you can get a stud hitter under 6K you try and take him. Cliff Lee has been racking up the Ks in his last two starts, but we like the lefty-righty matchup Jones has today.

OF- Alfonso Soriano CHC- Soriano has been stupid hot in the last two weeks. He is hitting over .300 with 8 home runs during that time. Today he faces the usually wild lefty Liriano, and that's a matchup we'll try and take advantage of. We think Liriano will stumble like he always has and leave some pitches up which Soriano should hit very well.

OF- Angel Pagan SF- Pagan is a hitting machine. He is hitting .384 over the last two weeks and is priced at under 7K. Enough said as he faces a righty in Ogando who hasn't been dominant in a starting role.

SP- Bruce Chen KC- Chen is an under priced pitcher in our opinion tonight as he should be over 10K, but we'll take it. He is facing a bad hitting team in the Pirates, and he has been successful in his last two weeks. He has given up 3 runs in his last 12 innings. We really like how he has pitched as of late not to mention who he is facing tonight.

SP- Joe Saunders ARI- Saunders has pitched pretty well as of late having a 3.19 ERA in his last 11.1 innings. He isn't a strikeout pitcher (8Ks over those 11.1 innings), but we think he'll pitch 6 tonight versus Oakland.

RP- Addison Reed CWS- Reed should be amidst a close ball game as Humber/Harrell seems like an evened up game. We obviously like the White Sox to come up on top in this one in a close game.
