MLB Fridays

C- Brian McCann ATL- McCann had a huge grand slam off of the Doc two days ago in that crazy extra inning game. He had yesterday off, and is going to be fresh for a series in Colorado this weekend. McCann is going to be a big problem for Moscoso (10.8 ERA).

1B- Kendrys Morales LAA- Morales was a huge play for us against the Twins the other night and we like him to continue to do well for us. He is swinging very well for us lately hitting .353 with a home run in the last two weeks. He is facing Alvarez (4.24 ERA) the righty for the Blue Jays.

2B- Ramon Santiago DET- Santiago is most likely starting today going against the righty Peavy. Leyland should slot in the 9 hole. For his price of not even 4K we love this cheap play. The Tigers offense has been better, and although Peavy will be a tough matchup for them, we liked going with Santiago as our cheap play compared to the catcher slot.

3B- Pedro Alvarez PIT- Alvarez went 2-4 yesterday including a home run. He has been great the last two weeks with a batting average of .359. He has always been a talented hitter, but struggled for the Pirates. Now, he is stroking and facing the righty for the Reds, Mike Leake (8.57 ERA).

SS- Rafael Furcal STL- Furcal started the season hot, went into a little lul, and is now back into a hot streak hitting .353 in the last two weeks. The only other shortstop that can compare to his play is Jeter and he is 10K. Furcal faces the righty Harrell (5.76 ERA) from the Astros.

OF- Angel Pagan SF- After starting the season terribly, Pagan is now crushing the baseball. He has a hit streak of almost 20 games at this point and has flashed some power for the Giants. He faces Greinke who will K up 7-8 hitters tomorrow, but he will also give up 8-9 hits in 6 or so innings. We like Pagan to be a part of that and continue his hit streak.

OF- Jose Tabata PIT- Somebody please check our temperature. We have picked two Pirates players for today's lineup. What's not to like about Tabata though? He is hitting well over .300 in the last two weeks, and is coming off a 3 hit game yesterday. Tabata faces the struggling Leake today.

OF- Bryce Harper WAS- As much as we didn't want to do this, We had to take Harper today. He is priced at over 6K and is hitting over .300 since he was called up to the big leagues. He is facing one of the cheapest starting pitchers available today in Kendrick (9.00 ERA). Harper should continue his magic today against the Phillies.

SP- Anthony Bass SD- Bass has been a huge surprise for the Padres this season. He has an ERA of just over 1.00 in his last two starts, and has been very impressive in them. For 10.6K we love this play as he faces the Marlins. They have struggled to put up more than 3 runs in the last week.

SP- Drew Smyly DET- Smyly has had an incredible start to this season for the Tigers. He has pitched great recently with an ERA of just over 1.00. He was dominant in his start against the Yankees last week in Yankee Stadium. We like him to do more of the same against the White Sox.

RP- Santiago Casilla SF- Casilla didn't pitch yesterday, and we like the Giants to play well against the Brewers tomorrow. Lincecum has pitched better as of late, and we like him over Greinke tomorrow. This pitching matchup should also provide for a low scoring game which is great for Casilla.

*Pitchers ERAs in parentheses are from the last two weeks.
