C: J.P. Arencibia – The Twins are currently the worst team in the MLB, and Jason Marquis is one of the reasons they are so bad this year; that is why we like J.P. today. He is batting over .300 in his last 10 games and added another homerun last night.
1b: Garrett Jones – Mr. Jones is starting to heat up
as he is batting .315 in the last two weeks.
Yes he is facing Strasburg, but at a value just over 5K for how hot he
is, he becomes a very solid play.
2b: Kelly Johnson – Tuesday night he had 3 RBIs and
a homerun, and he is batting .300 with 3 homeruns in his last 13 games. Added bonus, he loves righties and faces
Marquis today.
3b: Brett Lawrie – A very streaky hitter, but there
are not a lot of good options at 3b today with the limited games, so when in
doubt, take a hitter against Marquis.
Lawrie is case in point.
SS: Derek Jeter – Remember last year? He had his 3,000 hit which was a homerun off
of David Price, so don’t think he can’t hit the Ray’s lefty ace. He is also swinging a very hot bat.
OF: Adam Jones – Facing the lefty Holland who is not
having a great year. On the other hand,
Adam Jones is having a great year and loves lefties.
OF: B.J. Upton – Yes he is facing Sabathia, but like
we mentioned earlier, due to the limited amount of games, there are not that
many great options. Upton is batting
over .300 this season.
OF: Jose Bautista – Batting under the Mendoza line,
Bautista is not having the year we all expected him to have, but OSF believes
he can get himself back on track since he faces Marquis today.
U: Mitch Moreland – Over the last 2 weeks, Moreland
is batting .378 and has raised his season average significantly. He should be in the lineup today against
Hammel since he is a RHP. Plug him in
since he is just over 6K.
U: Andruw Jones – LHP David Price is on the hill for
the Rays which means Jones should be in the lineup in left today. Over the last 15 days, Jones is batting .316
in his limited opportunities so plug him in for 5K.
SP: Derek Lowe – He is up against a very difficult
task today as he faces one of the best offenses in baseball, but he held the
Rangers last week to 2 runs so maybe he can repeat that performance. He is 4-1 with a 2.39 ERA and under 10K…that
means he is a must play.
SP: Henderson Alvarez – Alvarez is coming off a
complete game shutout with 0 runs, and today he faces one of the worst offenses
in the MLB.
SP: Bartolo Colon – Ordinarily we like to stay away
from the Tigers, but because there are so many few options for today, we have
to go with Colon and 2.83 ERA at under 10K.
RP: Rafael Soriano – Robertson blew his 1st
save last night as he pitched on back-to-back night. This means Soriano would close tonight if the
situation presents itself since Robertson won’t pitch 3 nights in a row
especially after his terrible outing.
