MLB for Sunday

C- Nick Hundley SD- Just the other day, we tweeted out that we would never pick a fantasy player who two weeks into the season still didn't have a hit. Well, Hundley has hits in 5 of his last 6 and is starting to be a great option for 4.9K. You're going to have to look past his .182 average today if you are considering taking him.

1B- Mat Gamel MIL- Gamel is hitting in a hot lineup now after the offensive outburst yesterday. We like this to continue as the lefty hitting Gamel faces Guthrie, a righty. He is hitting .294 with 1 home run, 3 RBI, and 4 walks in the last week.

2B- Howie Kendrick LAA- Kendrick is coming off an off day and a 3-5 day with 3 RBIs on Friday. Chen will be a favorable matchup for the righty Kendrick. He is 8-27 with 4 extra base hits in the last week.

3B- Edwin Encarnacion TOR- Encarnacion is one of the hottest hitting third basemen in baseball right now. His stat line of .328 with 4 home runs, 12 RBI, and 9 runs scored is very impressive. He is facing Duffy which isn't the best of matchups, but he's a lefty and his last appearance was skewed in our opinion by a struggling Tigers offense (at one point I believe Austin Jackson had all 3 of their hits in the 7 inning).

SS- Alex Gonzalez MIL- Gonzalez has raised his batting average from .194 on the 18th to what it currently stands at at .254. He has 5 hits in his last 3 games with a home run, and is going to be hitting in familiar territory today as the Brewers play at home. He is going to be facing a righty, but at a 4.8K price it's too hard to pass this up considering the money we spent on our pitchers today.

OF- Josh Reddick OAK- Reddick has hits in 5 of his last 6 including 4 of those games being multi-hit games. He is facing the struggling Masterson who has over a 6 ERA right now. Two days ago we picked Reddick and he rewarded us with his second home run of the year.

OF- Jay Bruce CIN- Bruce was riding the struggle bus for what seemed like forever, but he has snapped out of it. He has 5 hits in his last 3 games, and is facing Randy Wells. Wells is replacing Dempster as he was just put on the 15 day DL. Bruce is one of our favorite plays today as his price is just over 6K.

OF- Jordan Schafer HOU- Schafer is hitting over .260 this season and has been a wreck on the bases. He has 6 stolen bases and 11 runs scored this season. Facing the righty in Billingsley, we like Schafer to get back to putting the ball in play and reducing his K rates as of late.

SP- Anthony Bass SD- Bass has had a little bit of success in his last two starts facing the Diamondbacks and the Rockies. He didn't make it past the 5th, but he did strike out 7 against Colorado and 5 against Arizona. All of this while only giving up 4 combined earned runs in the two starts. Today he faces the Phillies and their weak offense. We like Bass to be a solid strikeout guy today against the Phillies.

SP- Johnny Cueto CIN- Cueto has had a great start to the year compiling a 1.89 ERA over 17 innings against the Cardinals and Marlins. His strikeout totals have been 5, 3, and 4, so we're not expecting a high number but 5-6 would be great against this Cubs team right now.

RP- Sean Marshall CIN- Marshall is fresh (hasn't pitched since 4-19), and has recorded two consecutive saves. We like Cueto to keep this game close through 7 innings, and the Reds offense to struggle their way into 3-4 runs. There should be a save opportunity today for Marshall.

Game Notes:
*Jeremy Guthrie not only has given up 6 earned runs in two straight starts (against Padres and Giants), but was battling strep throat 4 days ago. You'll notice the abundance of Brewers players on our DS lineup today.

Weather Report: All three of these games have very high percentages of rain tonight and we will not be picking players from them because of it.
*NYY vs BOS
*SF vs NYM
*MIA vs WAS
