NBA Picks Saturday

G1- J.J. Redick ORL- Redick has scored 13 or more points in his last three games. During that stretch he is averaging 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assist. Utah is 7th worst in the league in points allowed so expect Redick to get 13 points again, as he eclipsed that mark vs. the number one defense and number three defense in the league in Boston and Philadelphia.

G2- Steve Nash PHO- Nash is coming off an off day which always helps him, along with the rest of the older players in the league. Nash averages 14 points, 11 assists, and 3 rebounds vs. the Nuggets this year. Expect a lot of points and a lot of assists from Nash in this up tempo high scoring game.

G3- Arron Afflalo DEN- Afflalo is averaging 25 points/game vs. the suns this year, 10 points higher than his season average. Also, he had been averaging 20 points/game over the last 5 games, which is 5 points above his season average. Look for Afflalo to go off tonight in what is expected to be a high scoring game.

F1- Luis Scola HOU- Scola averages 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists vs. the Warriors this year... I mean, who isn't? With Kevin Marting and Camby both listed as questionable for tonight we like Scola. The pattern also seems like Scola performs much better after off days, which they had yesterday. Furthermore, Scola scores a fews more points and has a better field goal percentage in both games they win, which the should, and when they are home, which they are.

F2- Luc Richard Mbah a Moute MIL- With F Ilyasova listed as questionable, and F Larry Sanders being out, Mbah a Moute moves up two places on the depth chart. In his first game on Thursday, he scored 16 points and had 11 rebounds vs. a good defending team in the Pacers. He should produce more of the same tonight vs. the Nets. He is only $115,000 on dailyjoust.com

F3- Kris Humphries NJ- Humphries is averaging 22 points, 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal vs. the Bucks this season. With Ilyasova out, there is no one to matchup with him tonight to keep him out of the paint and off the boards. Humphries could have a career night coming off his worst shooting game of the season (2-11) and an off day.

C1- Marcin Gortat PHO- Gortat grabbed 14 rebounds in both of their earlier meetings. Gortat only averages 9.5 points/game vs. the Nuggets this year but we see this to be a fluke as one of the games he was 4-13 from the floor. As a more elderly player, it bodes well for him he is coming off an off day. The Suns are one of the highest scoring home teams in the league and the Nuggets give up some of the most points in the league. Look for this game to be a shoot out.

C2- Nene WAS- Nene had 17 points and 12 rebounds in his only game vs. the Heat this year. That is 3 points and 4 rebounds higher than his season average. Blatche, Mason Jr. Booker, and Lewis are all hurt, so look for Nene to swoop up on some of their points and rebounds. Miami hasn't been able to guard big men all year, but they don't seem to care with a 45-17 record.
