MLB PIcks Monday

C- Buster Posey SF- Posey is hitting well this season averaging 4.33 points thru the first 3 games. We like him tonight against Chacin AT Colorado. This is a matchup that definitely favors Posey tonight.

Other Catchers: JP Arencibia TOR, Jonathan Lucroy MIL

1B- Adam Laroche WAS- Laroche looked terrible in the season opener against Ryan Dempster, but he has bounced back greatly in the last two games. He has 2 home runs this season. Tonight he faces off against Pelfrey from the Mets. It's at the NEW Citi Field which actually has shown to be a lot better of a park for hitters especially to right center.

Other First Basemen: Adrian Gonzalez BOS, Eric Hosmer KC

2B- Jose Altuve HOU- Altuve is hitting .333 this season, but hasn't racked up any RBIs or stolen bases. We like him to get a hit or two and maybe make something happen on the basepaths tonight against Beachy at home.

Other Second Basemen: Ian Kinsler TEX, Howie Kendrick LAA

3B- Pablo Sandaval SF- This was one of our more instant picks today. We like Sandaval a lot at Colorado, and we like the matchup against Chacin. He is hitting well with 4 RBi, 2 runs scored and a home run so far in this short season.

Other Third Basemen: Alex Rodriguez NYY, David Freese STL

SS- Starlin Castro CHC- One thing we really love about Castro is that when he is getting on base he is stealing bases. He has 4 stolen bases, and is hitting at a .385 clip. Marcum isn't necessarily the best matchup of the day, but Castro should fair well with the way he is seeing the baseball.

Other Shortstop: Zach Cozart CIN, Asdrubal Cabrera CLE

OF- Jose Bautista TOR- Joey Bats is making his home debut this season after hitting pretty well in Cleveland. He hit 1 home run in the Cleveland series and we like him to capitalize on the terrible pitching that the Red Sox have shown to have so far this season.

OF- Melky Cabrera SF- Cabrera is another Giants player that we really like in this Colorado series. They're hitting well, but just haven't scored enough to win. To us, that doesn't matter. Pick up Cabrera tonight expecting a higher scoring game.

OF- JD Martinez HOU- Martinez is a nice cheaper option here for the outfielder spot. Facing Brandon Beachy won't be the easiest of pitchers to face, but we like him hitting at a familiar place (Houston), and to capitalize on the struggling Braves.

SP- Josh Tomlin CLE- Tomlin has a good matchup in facing the White Sox tonight. Cleveland won only 1 game against the Blue Jays, but they played very competitively playing two overtime games.

SP- JA Happ HOU- There might be a running theme for us this year and it goes like this "Pitchers facing the Braves." It's no secret the Braves are struggling on offense and will probably struggle all season long. The back end of the order is very weak, and their top guys are struggling so far. Happy should throw 6 innings giving up 2 runs.

RP- Jason Motte STL- The Cardinals are playing great so far this season, and we like them to keep it up tonight against the Reds. Westbrook will have to pitch well against the Reds to keep it low scoring, but they are facing Homer Bailey so a high scoring game could be in the mix here.

RP- Brett Myers HOU- We like Happ tonight, so it only makes sense that we like Myers tonight. We can't expect this game to be anything close to high scoring. These are two teams that aren't expected to dominate offensively this season. We like a 3-2 or 4-2 ball game here tonight.
