MLB Picks Tuesday

C- AJ Ellis LAD- Super cheap option at catcher that should be in the lineup today. He's hitting .333 on the year with a home run. We like those numbers out of a guy that is under 4K.

Other Catchers: Carlos Santana CLE, Josh Thole NYM

1B- Carlos Pena TB- Pena is as hot as they come right now. He has massive pop in his bat, so we aren't worried about hitting in Comerica Park this week. He faces Rick Porcello who everyone knows to be a sinker ball pitcher. If he leaves one of those sinkers up, which he has in the past plenty of times, then Pena could take one deep easily.

Other First Basemen: Adam LaRoche WAS, Eric Hosmer KC

2B- Ian Kinsler TEX- We aren't big fans of many of the second basemen tonight, so we went with the best one of the bunch. Kinsler is very hot and hits in the best lineup. Any time he gets on base, there is a great chance he will score.

Other Second Basemen: Kelly Johnson TOR, Rickie Weeks MIL

3B- Miguel Cabrera DET- Cabrera is the best hitter in the game and the last 3 games showed it. In the only game this past weekend he didn't get a hit, he walked 3 times. The points will be there whether it be two hits, a home run, or two walks and a run scored.

Other Third Basemen: Alex Rodriguez NYY, Edwin Encarnacion TOR

SS- Jhonny Peralta DET- Peralta is hitting well this season as is the rest of the Tigers ball club. He is facing Moore the lefty for the Rays, and he hits them well. He will be hitting in the 6 hole most likely with Avila sliding down to 7 or 8. This will give him plenty of guys on base for even a groundout to give him an RBI.

Other Shortstop: Dee Gordon LAD, Starlin Castro CHC

OF- Corey Hart MIL- Hart is hot with 3 home runs to start the season. He faces Maholm tonight in Chicago. If the wind isn't blowing in then we love this play. He should stay hot against the lefty and could get lucky with some wind blowing out.

OF- Nick Markakis BAL- Markakis is a good hitter that is playing at home tonight. He faces Freddy Garcia. The old right hander could be a candidate for bad pitching performance of the day tonight. If it happens it'll be in part because of Markakis.

OF- Cameron Maybin SD- Usually we don't like hitters that will be playing in San Diego, but Maybin is a great hitter that uses his speed to get fantasy points. He has shown power hitting a monster blast this past weekend at home, but he's going to steal some bags for you too. Cahill was very hot and cold last season with games of going 8 strong, and others where he couldn't make it 5. Overall, a good matchup for Maybin.

SP- Danny Duffy KC- Duffy is a great play tonight for daily fantasy. He is a high strikeout guy that is playing in a huge park in Oakland. This is great for him because if he gets into trouble, it will most likely not be because of home runs. And there is one guarantee with a Duffy start versus the A's, and that is that Yoenis will strike out at least twice to him.

SP- Clayton Kershaw LAD- Usually we are completely against high priced pitchers like Kershaw, but we couldn't find a single other matchup that we liked enough to avoid this pick. This really should be a guaranteed 8 fantasy points. He threw great in 3 sick innings last week.

RP- Javy Guerra LAD- The Dodgers don't have the greatest of offenses, but we think they win tomorrow against the Pirates none the less. Guerra should be a lock for a close game and a save.

RP- Joe Nathan TEX- Nathan has looked good this season so far and we like it to continue. The only thing we are afraid of is the Rangers winning by 4-5 runs. We think it'll be a 3 run game by the 9th and if that's the case Nathan should be golden.
